Finding my footsteps in love again has been a slow and humbling journey. After being torn apart and giving so much of myself to someone who was only halfway in, I’ve realized healing doesn’t come from someone else—it comes from standing firm as my own rock.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve carried with me is the value of friendship. Friendships have always been the foundation of my life—the place where patience, understanding, and forgiveness live. Without that same base in a romantic relationship, how could we ever survive misunderstandings? Love without friendship becomes fragile. But love with friendship has room to bend, to grow, and to heal.
This time around, I want to get it right from the start. Not with perfection, but with clarity and honesty. I no longer have space for uncertainty, for someone who doesn’t know if they truly see me.
My heart has been broken before, and I’ve said I was done for good. Yet the truth is, there’s still a desire in me—not just to love again, but to repair the pieces of my heart in a way that honors my worth.
If I step forward, it will be with someone who values friendship as deeply as I do. Someone who understands that love isn’t just romance—it’s being each other’s safe place, the steady ground we return to when life gets complicated. Because only then can love be more than just a feeling—it can be a foundation strong enough to last.
