The Conversations That Keep Me Going

A moment of privacy with prayer keeps me grounded. It keeps me focused on us—me, my faith, my family, and the life I’m still building. In those quiet pauses, I give myself another chance to keep hope alive, as if my heart has never been broken.

When I sit with God, I am reminded that I’m not alone. I almost lost hope once—thinking love, stability, and peace would never settle into my heart. For a while, it felt easier to pretend everything was perfect than to admit how fragile I truly felt. But prayer redirects me. Prayer restores me.

In this season, I’m creating plans for the “now.” Plans that carry faith into the future. Plans that push me to believe that someday, all the dreams tucked inside me will unfold. This is where I find my motivation, my energy, my reason to keep writing, keep building, keep loving.

Prayer becomes the anchor that steadies me when distractions come. It reminds me to release fear and focus on what is possible, not just what is present. It teaches me to trust that every seed I plant today will one day grow into the harvest I’ve been longing for.

So I lean into the silence, into the sacred space where it’s just me and God. I talk, I listen, I cry, and I breathe. And in that stillness, my heart whispers back: You are not finished yet. Keep going. Keep believing. Keep planning.

Because even when it feels uncertain, my faith reminds me that love can still be at home in my heart, stability can still be found in my life, and the life I envision with my family and husband is still worth preparing for.

Because every plan, every page, is part of a life in progress.
